Small groups ministry is nothing new in my context. We have had this practice in the English speaking Caribbean from the days of the early British missionaries. What has happened is that over time due to a variety of challenges to be discussed elsewhere the system broke down and is yet to be recovered.
A few of us as colleagues are giving the matter some attention, particularly in the area of its ability to provide greater attention to the needs of members. In conducting our research, we have found these books and more to be helpful.
This Small Groups Reading List pulled from Amazon is the first list to be put together. More will come as we hope to offer a balanced view (what we are after) of the the pros and cons of the method as being practiced in North America to see what lessons might be applicable in the Caribbean context.
See the Small Groups Reading List here.
